How do you answer atheism and most effectively reach skeptics? This six-sermon series filmed at the Ark Encounter will help you do just that.
Sermons by Ray Comfort, Emeal (“E.Z.”) Zwayne, and Mark Spence.
Keys to Reaching Atheists
What do you say if your son or daughter, your nephew, or the neighbor that you’ve been taking to church suddenly says to you that there’s no evidence for God, that Christianity is just blind faith, has caused more wars than anything in history, and that endless suffering proves that God doesn’t exist? Ray Comfort tackles that and more in this eye-opening sermon.
America’s Greatest Sin—It’s Not What You Think
What is our nation’s greatest sin? Is it the horror of abortion, adultery, homosexuality, pornography, fornication, or blasphemy? You may be surprised that it’s none of these things. There is one sin that most Christians could hardly identify—let alone define, and it is the catalyst for all these sins...and it’s not unbelief. In this special Easter morning service, you watch the sun rise…within the Answers Center at the Ark Encounter in Kentucky, with Ray Comfort sharing the heart and hope of the gospel.
Gotcha Questions Answered
There are a handful of questions that atheists like to use as perceived “silver bullets” against Christianity: Since evolution has been scientifically proven, doesn’t that disprove the Bible? If everything in the universe had to be created, then who created God? Doesn’t the existence of suffering disprove the existence of God? Doesn’t the existence of evil disprove the existence of God? In “Gotcha Questions Answered,” Emeal (“E.Z.”) Zwayne will show you how to turn these supposed “silver bullets” into silver linings, and give thoughtful, reasoned, and effective answers to inquiring atheists.
From Foolishness to Power
What did Paul the Apostle mean when he said in 1 Corinthians 1:18 that the message of the cross is to those who are perishing foolishness, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God? Emeal (“E.Z.”) Zwayne will explore this question and also reveal what it was that caused the Roman centurion, who presided over Jesus’ crucifixion, to have a sudden change of heart and exclaim, “Truly this man was the son of God.” You will learn how the power of God, through the glorious gospel, can have a transforming effect on your life as an ambassador for Christ.
The Bankruptcy of Atheism
In Romans 1, the Bible clearly teaches us God has revealed Himself to everyone. Psalm 14:1 states, “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’” In this fast-paced teaching, Mark Spence starts off by debunking the notion that atheists exist. Secondly, he discusses the heart of the atheist with their foolish self-refuting claims such as, “There is no such thing as truth” and “Nobody’s right.” Next, Mark answers the most common questions a skeptic will bring up, such as, “If God is loving why is there evil and suffering in the world?” and “You can’t trust the Bible because it was written by men and everyone knows men make mistakes.” Finally, Mark discusses the greatest need of a skeptic which is their need to get born again.
How to Share the Gospel with an Atheist
The word “gospel” means “good news.” The good news is that God made a way for people to be forgiven of their sins and saved from an impending judgment. People escape God’s wrath when He imparts His grace, which is found in Christ alone. In this straightforward talk Mark Spence expounds on the gospel starting with God in creation and climaxing with Christ in an empty tomb. This is a message you can’t afford to ignore as the simplicity of the cross is explained and boldly proclaimed.
